IN THE MATTER OF

AND
IN THE MATTER OF
THE APPLICATION OF
THE TOWN OF LA
SCIE
FOR THE APPROVAL
OF THE ISSUANCE OF A
MOTOR CARRIER
CERTIFICATE.
WHEREAS by application dated
June 9, 2000 completed in accordance with the said Act and Regulations, the
Town of La Scie applied to the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities for
approval of the issuance of a Motor Carrier Certificate to operate the services
described in the Schedules attached hereto, and
WHEREAS after
public notice, the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities was notified by
letter dated August 3, 2000 and received on August 7, 2000 that the Department
of Health and Community Services had objections to certain of the areas
included in the service territory of the applicant and proposed changes to the
service territory wording to address these concerns, and
WHEREAS by way of letter
dated and received by the Board on August 9, 2000, the Town of La Scie
consented to the changes as proposed by the Department of Health and Community
Services, and
WHEREAS the Board of
Commissioners of Public Utilities is of the opinion that a public hearing is
not necessary and that the applicant has met the requirements of the Motor
Carrier Act and Regulations.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED THAT:
The application of the Town of La Scie be and it is
hereby approved and a Motor Carrier Certificate granted.
