IN THE MATTER OF the

PUBLIC UTILITIES ACT,

R.S.N.1990, c. P-47, as amended

(“the Act”)                                           

 

        AND

 

IN THE MATTER OF the application

by Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro

(“the Applicant”) for approval of a

contribution in aid of construction

for the supply of single phase electrical

service to a pumphouse at Fleur-de-Lys,

Newfoundland.

 

 

 

 

 

WHEREAS paragraph 11 (a) of the Contribution in Aid of Construction Policy for distribution line extensions and upgrades to general service customers (the “CIAC policy”), as approved by the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities (the “Board”) effective October 1, 1997, requires the Applicant to apply to the Board for approval of all distribution line extensions involving contributions in aid of construction where construction costs are estimated to be greater than $25,000.00; and

 

WHEREAS the Applicant calculated the contribution in aid of construction relating to the supply of single phase electrical service to the pumphouse at Fleur-de-Lys, Newfoundland to be in the amount of $35,300.00; and

 

WHEREAS the Applicant submitted its application on June 23, 2000 and, on June 28th, 2000, the Board met to consider the application and determine if the calculation is in accordance with the Contribution in Aid of Construction Policy.

 

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED THAT:

 

1.                  The Applicant’s application of $35,300.00 for a contribution in aid of construction for the supply of single phase electrical service a pumphouse at Fleur-de-Lys, Newfoundland is hereby approved.
