(“the Act”)
AND
IN THE MATTER
OF the application
by Newfoundland
and Labrador Hydro
(“the
Applicant”) for approval of a
contribution in
aid of construction
for the supply
of three-phase primary
electrical
service to the Hammerdown
Gold Mine site
near King’s Point,
Newfoundland.
WHEREAS paragraph 11 (a) of the Contribution in
Aid of Construction Policy for distribution line extensions and upgrades to
general service customers, as approved by the Board of Commissioners of Public
Utilities (the “Board”) effective October 1, 1997, requires the Applicant to
apply to the Board for approval of all distribution line extensions involving
contributions in aid of construction where construction costs are estimated to
be greater than $25,000.00; and
WHEREAS the Applicant calculated the
contribution in aid of construction relating to the supply of three-phase
primary electrical service to the Hammerdown Gold Mine site near King’s Point,
Newfoundland to be in the amount of $68,435.00; and
WHEREAS the Applicant submitted its application
on December 18, 2000 and, on January 12, 2001, the Board met to consider the
application and determine if the calculation is in accordance with the
Contribution in Aid of Construction Policy.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED
THAT:
1.
The
Applicant’s application of $68,435.00, plus HST, for a contribution in aid of
construction for the supply of three-phase primary electrical service to the
Hammerdown Gold Mine site near King’s Point, Newfoundland is hereby approved.
