IN THE MATTER OF THE REVIEW OF

THE AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE RATES OF

Trafalgar Insurance Company of Canada

AND ISSUANCE OF A.I. 37 (2001-2002)

 

 

 

 

 

WHEREAS, by application received March 22, 2001, Trafalgar Insurance Company of Canada applied to the Board for approval to implement a revised rating program for its Private Passenger class of business, and 

 

WHEREAS, the Board, after due examination and analysis of the proposed rating program, found that it conformed with the Benchmarks and approved it as filed by Order No. A.I. 4 (2001-2002) dated May 1, 2001.

 


WHEREAS, on May 16, 2001, the Board, in error, issued Order No. A.I. 37 (2001-2002) imposing private passenger and commercial automobile insurance rating programs on  the insurer, and

 

WHEREAS, the Order should not have been issued as the Board had previously approved a rating program for the insurer utilizing the 2001 Benchmarks.

 

 

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED THAT:

 

1.         Order No.  A.I. 37 (2001-2002) be and it is hereby rescinded.
